Located near Saint Louis University, Ellen Clark Sculpture Park, sometimes called the SLU dog park or sculpture garden, offers a unique blend of art and open space. It’s not actually a dog park, but it is dog-friendly and fenced. It’s a fantastic place for your dog to get some exercise while you enjoy the 16 abstract sculptures.

#2. Joe Glik Park Dog Park in Edwardsville, IL
Just thirty minutes from downtown St. Louis in Edwardsville, this 42-acre fenced dog park offers a spacious area for dogs to run off-leash. It’s well-maintained and has separate fenced-in areas for small and large dogs with large shade trees and plenty of open green space.
Joe Glik Park is next to Dunlap Lake and hosts many community events. Aside from the fenced dog area, the park boasts two stocked fishing lakes with a fishing deck, a picnic pavilion with picnic tables and barbecue grills, and 2,500 feet of skating, biking, and walking paths. There are also volleyball and basketball courts and a large, new playground for kids.

This new public dog park in Downtown St. Louis is just off the Gateway Arch grounds on Laclede’s Landing, the city’s historic entertainment district. The picturesque off-leash St. Louis dog park is popular with downtown residents and visitors. Membership-Based St Louis Dog Parks
Many dog parks in St. Louis are membership-based. There are usually membership fees that may be very modest for city-owned facilities, but fees may be higher for non-residents. Depending on the park, your pup may need to pass a temperament test.
#1. Bar K St. Louis
Bar K is more than just a dog park; it’s an experience. This membership-based park is home to a bar and restaurant, event space, and fully staffed indoor and outdoor dog parks. It’s the only dog park in St. Louis with indoor and outdoor dog parks, bars, and activities for humans too! Every dog loves running around the two-acre outdoor park with artificial grass, agility equipment, and new humans to meet. There are separate play areas for large and small dogs with trained handlers throughout the facility.
It’s the perfect social spot for both you and your canine companion where you can enjoy a drink and even live music while your pup has fun in a safe, supervised environment. There are regular dog-friendly activities and contests like the dog watermelon eating contest, bar trivia nights, and adoption nights. Bar K also offers training, grooming, and doggie day camp!
To bring your pup, you will need to buy a Guest Pass ($10 for the first dog and $5 for additional dogs, or $15 for the first pup during the peak season) or be a Bar K Member. You will need vaccination records showing your dog is current on their shots, they must be socialized for group play, and at least 12 weeks old. No dog breeds are restricted.
The membership fee is $37.50 per month for month-to-month, $27.50 for an annual membership paid monthly, or $250 for an annual membership paid upfront. There’s no cost to visit without a dog – it’s a great place to hang out if you love pups but don’t have any of your own!

The Cherokee Dog Park is a small St. Louis dog park in the Benton Park West neighborhood. Designed for locals with an active Facebook group for meet-ups and events, a membership is required to ensure safety for the whole family. The park offers a secure, clean environment for your dog to play.
To become a member, you must submit a completed application with a signed copy of the rules, waiver, and release of liability plus a copy of shot records, proof of spay or neuter, and a photo with each dog. There’s an annual fee of $35 for the first dog plus $15 for each additional dog.

#3. Tails and Trails Dog Park @ Queeny Park
The Tails and Trails dog park, sometimes called the Trails & Tails park, is one of the most popular destinations for dog owners in St. Louis, MO. This large, 5-acre park is membership-only with separate areas for large and small dogs, walking trails, water features, agility equipment, biodegradable waste disposal stations, and water stations.
Queeny Park is one of the best dog parks in St. Louis County. The Queeny Park dog park is in a secluded area on the Mason Road side of Queeny Park with double-gated entry. The annual membership fee is $75 but day passes are available for $6. You can have up to three dogs per family membership at $25 per dog. A day pass or membership requires a completed dog park application, a copy of up-to-date shot records, and proof of spay or neuter.

#4. Southwest City Dog Park @ Willmore Park
Located in the St. Louis Hills neighborhood, Willmore Park is a sprawling, dog-friendly park home to one of the largest and oldest dog parks in St. Louis, MO. Southwest City Dog Park (SWCDP) is a 1.1-acre fenced-on park funded and managed by volunteer members. Pups can explore two play areas and an agility area for off-leash fun and socialization.
During the summer, there are doggie pools to help pups cool off. From winter to early spring, there’s a winter shelter and straw climbing maze in the main area. The smaller alternate play area is for small, older, or shy dogs. Both areas have a water fountain with water bowl areas. Before heading home, you can use the dog wash station near the exit to clean up.
The membership cost is $55 for city residents for the first dog ($15 for each additional pup) and $70 for non-city residents ($15 per additional dog). Southampton Neighborhood Association (SNA) members receive a $10 discount.

About ten miles west of downtown STL is the University City Dog Park in University City, MO. The well-maintained city park offers plenty of open space for pups to socialize and play with benches and shade for owners. The fee for membership is $40 for one dog and $60 for two dogs for University City residents or $60 for one dog and $90 for two dogs for non-residents.
